Water is the kind of bill nobody wants to think about. A bottle arrives, money changes hands at the gate or by transfer, and a month later it is hard to remember what was paid for what. That is how small misunderstandings start: a payment one person remembers and the other does not, an extra bottle nobody mentioned, an advance that seems to have disappeared. This guide explains how an Aabdar invoice is laid out, how to pay so that every rupee is on record, and how to check what you owe before you hand anything over.

Where your invoice comes from

When we message you about a delivery on WhatsApp, the message carries a link to your invoice. It opens in any browser, on a phone or a computer, without an app or a login. The page always shows the invoice as it stands now, so a payment recorded today appears on the same link you were sent last week. If you want a copy that never changes, use your browser's print or share option and save it as a PDF.

If you have lost the link, or want an invoice for a particular plan or order, message us and we will send it again. You can also ask for a statement that lists every plan and order on your account, what each was billed, what was paid and what is still due.

Reading the invoice, line by line

  • The product line shows what you bought, how many bottles or packs, and the price per unit you are actually paying, after any discount.
  • Extra bottles delivered: on a plan, bottles delivered beyond the number in the plan are charged at the plan's own rate. The line says how many there were, so a larger total explains itself.
  • Total: what the plan or order costs, extras included.
  • Paid: everything you have handed over for it, by cash or transfer, added together.
  • Pending payment: what is still owed. It appears only when something is left to pay. If it is missing, the invoice is settled.
  • Paid above this bill: if you paid more than the total, this box says where the difference went, usually kept as an advance on your account.

Under the totals, Payments Received lists every payment with its date. If part of a payment was kept as an advance, the line shows the full amount you paid and how it was split, for example Rs 400 with Rs 241 to this bill and Rs 159 kept as advance. The amounts in that list should add up to what you remember handing over.

On a plan, the invoice also lists each delivery with its date, how many bottles were sent and how many empties came back. Deliveries already made and deliveries still to come are marked differently, so you can see at a glance how far through the plan you are.

Paying at the door is fine. Ask for the payment to be confirmed, and check that it appears on your invoice.

Paying the rider in cash

You can pay the rider in cash when your water arrives. The rider records the payment against your plan or order, and the office confirms it once the rider hands the cash in. Until then it may show as waiting, which is normal and usually takes a day or less.

  • Count the money in front of the rider and say what it is for: this delivery, the whole plan, or something you still owed from before.
  • Ask for a receipt. We can send you a WhatsApp message confirming the amount, the date, what it was for and what is left to pay.
  • If a payment you made does not appear on your invoice within a couple of days, tell us straight away with the date and amount. It is much easier to trace a payment while everyone still remembers it.

Paying by bank transfer

For a transfer, use only the account details we send you on WhatsApp or show on your invoice, and send the screenshot of the completed transfer to us or to the rider. We match the screenshot to the transfer before recording it, so keep the screenshot until the payment shows on your invoice. Never send money to an account someone gives you over a phone call, even if the caller says they are from us.

Paying in advance, and what happens to the extra

Some customers prefer to pay for the month ahead, or round a payment up. Anything you pay above the bill is not lost. It is kept as an advance on your account and taken off your next plan or order, and the invoice shows it under Paid above this bill. If you would rather have it applied to an earlier bill you still owe, say so when you pay.

Checking what you owe before you pay

Open the latest invoice and look for Pending payment. If you have more than one plan or order with us, the invoice may also show a previous balance from earlier plans and a total payable. A statement brings all of them onto one page. Paying the total payable settles everything at once, and the payment confirmation will say what is left, if anything.

A good rule: if the amount in your head and the amount on the invoice differ, ask before you pay, not after.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get my Aabdar invoice?
It comes as a link in our WhatsApp messages and opens in any browser without an app. If you have lost it, message us and we will send it again, or ask for a statement covering all your plans and orders.
What does Pending payment mean on my invoice?
It is the amount still owed on that plan or order. It appears only when something is left to pay; if it is not on the invoice, the bill is settled.
What happens if I pay more than my bill?
The difference is kept as an advance on your account and taken off your next plan or order. The invoice shows it under Paid above this bill.
Can I pay the rider in cash?
Yes. The rider records the payment and the office confirms it when the cash is handed in. Ask for a receipt, and check that the payment appears on your invoice within a day or two.
Why is my plan total higher than the plan price?
Most often because more bottles were delivered than the plan includes. Extra bottles are charged at the plan's own rate, and the invoice shows how many there were.
